Emily Dickinson says:

Bee!
I’m expecting you!
Was saying yesterday
To somebody you know
That you were due –

The frogs got
Home last Week –
Are settled,
And at work –

Birds,
mostly back –
The Clover
Warm and thick –

You’ll get
My letter by
The seventeenth;
Reply Or better,

Be with me

Yours, Fly

  1. This is absolutely beautiful and Spring-y!
I look forward to seeing all of these wonderful creatures return from their Winter vacation. I also watch for the butterflies and the lizards! 🙂
    HUGS!!! 🙂

I’m reminded of a poem my grandmother recited to me when I was a girl. I have never forgotten it:

    “There was a bee.
    That sat on a wall.
    He said just HUM
    And that was all!”

Which I just Googled and learned my grandmother misquoted it in part. Either that, or I am overly proud of a misremembered verse.
