Sunday Morning Music

I’ll never be a beast of burden….

Never , never, never be .

Oh, sorry….
was just singing to myself.

And I didn’t see you come in !

Oh fuck it,

I’m in good voice today,
so why not join in ?

We’ve got plenty of great

Sure, play air guitar, too
— if you must.

  1. Linda Ronstadt — I’ve loved her since 1967 when she was with “Stone Pony” different Drum.

I can’t help but love the Ronettes 🙂

Chris, good selections this morning. Your choice of a Red Hot Chili Pepper song followed by the Ohio Players’ “Love Rollercoaster” brings to mind the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s cover of “Love Rollercoaster” that they did for one of the Beavis and Butthead movies. It’s one of their below-the-radar screen numbers but it’s a great thumping redo of the classic and worth a listen.

A suggestion for everyone’s listening pleasure. .Junior Walker & the Allstars – What Does It Take. . some real soul. I played that 45 to death!

Linda R is always a treat but for me the original of Heat Wave w/Martha & the Vandellas wins out. . That’s one of a few records that never ever get old for me, no matter how many times I hear it. . Sleigh Ride – Ronettes is another
