Welcome to

We don’t do slow
and mellow around
here unless there’s
some fast and rockin’
in there, too —

— and I’m pretty sure
our Sunday mix will

Sunday Morning Music

recjaHello there !!!

Happy Sunday –
and time for our
weekly musical adventure.

Today, we’ve picked
several of our
featured artists songs —

Sorta a two
for one sale.

Maybe even mo.
You nevah know.

.

Let’s start out
with an irresistible vibe —

Fleetwood Mac’s
Peacekeeper “,

And from 1987-

Fleetwood Mac —
” Everywhere “

.

Elvis Costello
has been around
a while, now —

and he’s still
doing
great work.

One of his classics :

” Alison

And maybe one
you haven’t heard:

Elvis Costello —
” I Want You “

.

Remember a
Post Punk
band named
” The Sound ” ?

A bit obscure, maybe
… a bit like the ” Cure “.

Try this one from
their seminal album
“Lion’s Mouth”

The Sound —
Sense Of Purpose

The Sound —
I Can’t Escape Myself

I especially like
this next cut.

The Sound —
Winning

.

It’s Mule time,
man…

Gov’t Mule —
Soulshine

.

Gov’t Mule —
Gold Dust Woman

.

Grace Slick was,
of course,
vocalist for the
Jefferson Airplane.

But she was also ao
pretty interesting
solo performer.

Here’s my favorite
Grace Slick chort :

Dreams “.

And a great
piece that’s
been pretty much
ignored by radio —

Grace Slick —
” Let It Go “

.

Tears For Fears
was simply
one of the most
underrated groups ever-domed

Their creative
The Seeds Of Love
album was cutting edge.

Here’s the title cut from
that album, from 1989.

And, from 1985 ….

” Shout ”

.

The Ramonesramones
what can I say?

You like em?
well,
nach.

I Wanna Be Sedated

and while we’re at it:

” Somebody Put
Something In My Drink”

.

Steppenwolf is
one of my all-time
favorite bands.

And I don’t quite understand
why most people only know
two of their songs —

Magic Carpet Ride”

and

“Born To Be Wild”.

But, they are,
first and foremost,
a biker music group, sure.

And with that in mind,
here’s one of the greatest
unknown biker songs ever .

Two,  actually —
Cause one just
ain’t enough, man.

Hippo Stomp ” —
this one never fails
to get a rise out of me.
Perfect for an
afternoon putt .

.

The second is by
the Grateful Dead –
– ” Hell In A Bucket

And you thought
they were
just a bunch of
mellow mushrooms.

Wait–
I still owe you
another Dead piece, right?

Touch Of Gray

.

Speaking of mellow,
though —

How about this one ?

Marty Balin — ” Hearts ” .

One of my favorite Balin
pieces is called:

” Lydia “recd

and we can’t forget
(from the same album)

” Atlanta Lady ”

.

Who mentioned albums?

Oh, I guess I did.

Yes….

There are some classic
albums that I feel like sharing …..

This one,
for instance.

Taj Mahal’s first album:

Taj Mahal —
Taj Mahal

.

Or this one:

Boz Scaggs’s brilliantskimpy
Silk Degrees ” .

.

One more :
The Jazz Crusaders–
Those Southern Nights

.

Another one?
Awww…
What the hell.

“It’s A Beautiful Day !

Hey–
hope to see
you next week !

You never know what
other great music
is waiting for ya.
